Why is this happening

I'm jTaggin my friends old xbox, but its broken. so i put washers on the heat sinks, did the penny trick, then turned it on and wrapped it in a towel and let it sit for about 5 mins. i let it cool down and it worked for about 3 mins, then suddenly the screen goes black and it gets 2 red rings. Why does it do this? i wanna fix it quickly so i can continue with jtaggin.

its not though. it barely even starts and it already gets 2 rings... i think i really messed it up nao though.. it wont even turn on...

Block fans, and then let it 3 RRoD as soon as it RRoDs then turn it off for 5 minutes turn it back on it should work.

mine was doing the same thing blank screen but it was 3 rrod i just sent it to get its gpu reballed because i know a website that does that fixes gpu itself and then they give you a 1 year warranty but i don't know if the gpu is your problem
