Campaign Modding help
« on: July 02, 2010, 02:09:56 PM »
Alright, lately I've been using my 4GB USB 2.0 flash drive, Modio and CoD Tool to mod levels so I end up being invincible, have infinite ammo and infinite sprint, as well as usually decreasing AI aim accuracy, and increasing my regular moving speed and sprint speed.

I've been following a guide I found on another site that says to do the following:

- Start up World at War
- Go to Campaign, choose a level and choose the difficulty (I've been doing Veteran)
- Play the level until you hit a checkpoint (some levels, you don't need to do this, such as that one that takes place on Seelow, where you have Molotov's, and a choice between 2 paths)
- Save & Quit
- Go to dashboard, then System Settings, then Memory
- Go to your main hard drive, Call of Duty World at War, and find the main save game (if you have the 3 map packs and the Makin Day map, it should be the last file)
- Copy or move it to your flash drive (or if you use the transfer cable, skip this step and just plug your hard drive in to your computer)
- Pop flash drive into laptop, run Modio, load the device, and extract the save game.svg file (i think it's .svg, or something)
- Load the save game into CoD Tool, choose mods you want (less than 12, as more can screw up the mods and make them not work)
- Click Save Changes
- Delete the save game from your hard drive/flash drive (because when you extract, it leaves an unmodded copy in the flash drive/hard drive
- Click & drag the save game back to your flash drive/hard drive
- Run game, go to solo, then Resume Level.
- Mods should work.

Well I've gotten to Blood & Iron and the invincibility mod doesn't seem to do anything due to either:
- I haven't hit a checkpoint in the tank because on Veteran, the AI seems to be an unstoppable force that destroys me in seconds
- The invincibility mod might not work while the player is on this level, due to having to play as a tank

Is there any way around this? Is there a way to hex edit the save game and make my tank invincible so I can complete this level in Veteran and move on to the next level?

Have a clean save on this level.
Start up and save and quit right away.. then  open it into CoD Tool and enable Unlimited Health only.
Save Changes, then open into modio.
Rehash and resign and then put back onto usb.

Load up WaW then hit "Resume Game"

Then your mod should work..

Alrighty. I think maybe the whole "Infinite Ammo" and "Infinite Sprint" as well as increasing player speed is buggering up the invincibility for this particular level.
